ESSC Winter Snow Sports Fund

The Eastern Slope Ski Club’s Winter Snow Sports Award Fund is available for on snow athletes competing in Alpine, Nordic and Snowboarding disciplines. These scholarships are available every season and we encourage members to apply.

Guidelines

Please understand that scholarship funds are limited and allocated on financial needs. We will be awarding scholarships based on the tuition fees for the program you are participating in this season. Scholarship guidelines are: Skill development season long programs, up to 20%; USSA racing, up to 30% for local mountain race programs, basically U10-U14 (non-scored racing – youth racing) CRT, WC, KP, Attitash; is up to 40%, USSA and FIS racing for MWVST athletes U16 and up  (scored racing).

Conditions For Scholarship Awards

  • Local

    Recipients must abide by the ESSC Code of Conduct, be a resident of Carroll County and currently in grades three through twelve.

  • Letter of Acceptance & Letter of Thanks

    Recipients will be required to acknowledge they have been chosen for this award with a letter of acceptance to the Board of Directors as well as a letter of thanks post season. A copy of the letter of thanks must be sent to ESSC to be eligible for scholarship in the following season

  • Current

    All past Program balances must be paid in full.

  • Volunteer

    Student/Athlete or family of recipient would volunteer and assist at ESSC fundraisers—ESSC Annual Ski Sale (November) and Red Parka Challenge Race (March).

  • Photo Op

    Recipient would be available for photo upon receiving support.

  • Attendance

    Student/Athlete is committed to full attendance.
